Rick Schmidt has owned the Blue Eyes for over 20 years now. He started his charter fishing career in Westport as deckhand out of Salmon Charters where he learned from the best. He has extensive experience both the sport fishing and in the commercial fishing industry. He is excited to return to the Blue Eyes as captain once again for the 2025 season.

In the off season, Rick loves to work on the boat to make sure everything is perfect for the fishing season. He lives in Westport and enjoys being a part of the fishing community.
